I can't say enough good things about Bob, the owner of this AAMCO location! From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. I brought in my 2020 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L engine and 8-speed transmission, which had developed a shudder between shifts. Three other shops told me the transmission needed to be replaced—quotes ranged from $8,000 to $9,000! Bob took a completely different approach. He immediately recognized the issue, explained it clearly, and recommended a transmission fluid flush with Mobil 1 synthetic and a BG additive. He was confident this would resolve the problem—and he was right. I brought my truck in, and within an hour the work was done and I was back on the road. The transmission feels smooth and responsive again, and the truck drives like new. What impressed me most was Bob’s honesty. He could have gone the expensive route like the other shops, but instead, he focused on the most effective and affordable solution. Tyler was great! I highly recommend going to AAMCO in Warrenton. I work on my own vehicles but don't really mess with transmissions. Tyler gave me a quote less than the dealership an performed the work same day. They seem to be a very honest and straightforward shop. Kind of a diamond in the rough these days. Thanks again Tyler.
